Assam Zoo Cum Botanical Garden
This zoo is also known as Guwahati zoo.It covers around 175 hectares land. This is the biggest zoo in North India.This zoo was established in 1957 and open for normal people in 1958.The distance of the zoo from guwahati railway station is 5 kms.

From starting of covid period the rules and regulations are strictly followed here. No entry without mask. The area is very big. So you must keep drinking water with you. Vicinity of this zoo is Clean but at some places it's not up to the mark. There is totally electronic toilet here. There is a playing facility for the children in the garden.
Animals-
After covid most of the Animals are isolated from Assam zoo cum botanical garden. But you can see lots of animals like Gibban, Bengal tiger, Jackals, Lion, Panther, Beer, Deer Giraffe etc and famous animal of Assam one horned Rhinoceros too. Your tour will be memorable by seeing variety of birds. Here you can see lots of snake. Condition of animals looks like they are sad. Some cages are without any animal.
Tickets-
Counter ticket facility has been closed due to covid . So you have to book it online by Assam zoo website. The ticket price is rs 30 per person. There is enough space for parking. Parking charge is rs 10. And if you want to use camera then you have to pay rs 100 camera charge.
