Tawang War Memorial is situated at Indo China Border in tawang town of Arunachal Pradesh. This is built to remember of our martyr during Indo China war. In 1962 our 2420 brave warriors fought to defend our country from China. This war was begun in Kameng village. This war memorial has been designed using Buddhist architectural and cultural elements including prayer wheels and flags, colorful serpents, dragon and other Buddhist relics. This memorial is also known as Jaswant garh memorial.

 

Attracion

Tawang is famous for its monastery which 400 yrs old and biggest in India. There are more followers of Buddhism in this town.You can see 360⁰ ice mountain in tawang. In tawang war memorial you can see name of all martyr of 1962 war are etched in golden letters on the wall. A light and sound show attract you more in the evening.  Light and sound show give you a brief knowledge about our warriors and tawang culture. The last show start at 6 pm and end at 7 pm.
